Dr. Farhana Shaheen

Dr. Farhana Shaheen is Assistant Professor of Mathematics at YUC. She holds a Ph.D. and M.Phil. in Pure Mathematics, with specialization in Group Theory and Abstract Algebra,   from Quaid-e-Azam University, Pakistan. She also holds Masters of Mathematics and Bachelors in Science from the University of Peshawar, Pakistan.  She has almost 25 years of teaching experience in different Colleges and Universities. From 2001 to 2007, she was a tenured Associate Professor of Mathematics in different universities of Pakistan. Since 2007, she has joined the General Studies Department at YUC, where she has worked for different positions such as, DHoD/HoD of GS, Acting AC, and Acting DMD during Summer Semesters. She is currently the Chairperson of YUCW's Research Committee.
Dr. Farhana has published six papers in renowned International Journals. She has won UNESCO/ROSTSCA Award for Young Women Scientist – 1991. She also won Gold medals, Talent Awards and Scholarships.
