BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ACCOUNTING

INTRODUCTION

The Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting degree program is designed to prepare graduates with the necessary knowledge, skills, and values to effectively apply various business principles and tools in an organizational setting and attain professional careers in public accounting, private industry accounting, and governmental accounting. The program also prepares students for graduate schools and programs.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES 

Upon completion of the program, the students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate intense knowledge of the Business world, Accounting environment and Accounting tools and able to express and use those knowledge in their professional careers. (PLO-1- CS)
  2. Demonstrate the ability to critically assess and analyze issues in Accounting in the light of national/international environment, business practices and national/global concerns leading to informed problem-solving  (PLO -2- AS)
  3. Develop the ability to be use traditional and scientific methods to tackle problems, formulate policies and make decisions in Accounting field (PLO-3- PS)
  4. Demonstrate ability to use Information Technology tools in accounting and related decisions. (PLO-4- IT)
  5. Demonstrate the ability to understand professional, ethical and social responsibilities while assessing, analyzing and solving problems and while making decisions.  (PLO-5- ES)
