YUC Academic Departments and Centers

All undergraduate programs are designed to meet the needs of the kingdom in general and Yanbu AlSinaiyah in particular

About YUC Academics

The college currently offers undergraduate programs only. These undergraduate level programs are structured around a period of five years. The year one of this period is a university preparatory or foundation year, and is not part of the undergraduate study. The rest of the four years the students study the major courses required to successfully complete the undergraduate program. To enter any undergraduate program, the student must have passed the university preparatory or foundation level with a cumulative GPA OF 1.75.

All undergraduate programs are designed to meet the needs of the kingdom in general and Yanbu AlSinaiyah in particular. The college has the following three academic departments:

· The Department of Management Sciences

· The Department of Computer Science and Engineering

· The Department of Arts and Social Sciences

The Department of Management Sciences:

The department of Management Sciences offers undergraduate program in the field of Management Information Sciences (MIS).

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering:

The department offers two undergraduate programs:

· BS in Computer Science

· BS in computer Engineering

The Department of Arts and Social Sciences:

Currently the department offers an undergraduate program of BS in Applied Linguistics.

From the academic year 2010-2011 YUC intends to introduce new undergraduate programs in these departments at both male and female campus. The following programs will be offered:

1-     Computer Engineering (Telecommunication)

2-     Computer Engineering (Networking)

3-     Computer Engineering (Multimedia)

4-     BS Business Management (HRM)

5-     BS Business Management (Marketing)

6-     BS Business Management (Banking and Finance)

7-     BS Business Management  (Islamic Finance)

8-     BS Business Management (Accounting)

9-     BSBM (Supply Chain Management)

10-  Tourism and Development

11- Education

The college also plans to offer a graduate level program in Business Administration.
