BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT (SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT)

INTRODUCTION

Globalization has dramatically impacted the way companies do business, and qualified professionals are in demand in the Logistics and Supply Chain Management (SCM) fields. The Bachelor of Science in Business Management (BSBM) degree program with SCM concentration provides students a firm foundation in supply chain management practices and equip them to meet current and future needs in the Logistics and supply chain management professions. The SCM track comprehensively studies the field of supply chain management including purchasing, Inventory Control, Warehouse Operations, Logistics Management with business, technical and leadership skills needed to meet the challenges of the global marketplace.

PROGRAMOBJECTIVES

Upon completion of the program, the students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate intense knowledge of the Business world, Logistics Management environment and Supply chain Management tools and able to express and use those knowledge in their professional careers. (PLO-1- CS)
  2. Demonstrate the ability to critically assess and analyze issues in Supply chain Management in the light of national/international environment, business practices and national/global concerns leading to informed problem-solving  (PLO -2- AS)
  3. Develop the ability to be use traditional and scientific methods to tackle problems, formulate policies and make decisions in Logistics and Supply Chain Management field (PLO-3- PS)
  4. Demonstrate ability to use Information Technology tools in Supply Chain Management and related decisions. (PLO-4- IT)
  5. Demonstrate the ability to understand professional, ethical and social responsibilities while assessing, analyzing and solving problems and while making decisions.  (PLO-5- ES)

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT (MARKETING)

INTRODUCTION

The Bachelor of Science in Business Management (BSBM) degree program with Marketing concentration addresses how to identify customer needs, how to communicate information about products and services to customers and potential customers, where to market, the pricing of products and services, and how to respond to growing demands in different countries and cultures. The marketing concentration builds upon the foundational marketing course, which allows further study in the areas of consumer behavior, advertising, marketing research, public relations, promotion measurement and analysis, as well as international and global marketing.

BACHELORS OF SCIENCE IN MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS

INTRODUCTION:

The Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems (MIS)at YUC is a professional degree that provides a sound knowledge  and understanding  of Information  Systems  (IS) required to perform operational,  tactical and strategic processes in business organizations.  The MIS program aims at providing the conceptual framework of IS environment, broadening business knowledge, enhancing technical communication skills, training the graduates in various aspects of business environment and offers them an opportunity for real-world experience to analyze, design, implement and administer business problems using information technology.

Upon completion of the program, the students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate intense knowledge of the Business world, Information environment and Information tools and able to express and use those knowledge in their professional careers. (PLO-1- CS)

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

INTRODUCTION:

The Bachelor of Science in Business Management (BSBM) degree program with Human Resources Management (HRM) concentration helps students develop an understanding of the fundamentals of human resource management and its strategic relevance in business. The concentration introduces students to the basic concepts of human resource management, and allows further study in the areas of employment law, risk management, recruitment and selection of employees, international HR, change management, compensation and benefits, employee development, and performance management. Students will also develop an understanding of the critical business implications for human resource professionals today and in the future.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ACCOUNTING

INTRODUCTION

The Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting degree program is designed to prepare graduates with the necessary knowledge, skills, and values to effectively apply various business principles and tools in an organizational setting and attain professional careers in public accounting, private industry accounting, and governmental accounting. The program also prepares students for graduate schools and programs.
